OBJECTIVES OF CRSI

  • To promote case method of teaching as an important and relevant pedagogical tool in the context of Indian business schools.

  • To promote case writing and case method of teaching among Indian management professionals, teachers and academicians.

  • To introduce and evolve case based research as an effective way of resolving complex managerial situations.

  • To help academicians, researchers and trainers in understanding case writing, case method of teaching and help them to develop competencies in these areas.

  • To conduct workshops, conferences relevant and related to case method of teaching, case writing and case based research.

  • To generate a reservoir of cases relevant in the context of Indian sub-continent.

  • To network among case research associations in the US, Europe and South East Asia to enrich and enhance the case material available for teaching purposes in the Indian context.

  • To award grants, scholarships, fellowships and similar financial assistance or encouragement for the advancement of research in imparting management education.

  • To establish, maintain and support case research associations, management schools and similar institutions for the advancement of Management case research with the particular objective of teaching management through case method.

  • To associate with foreign management case research associations, institutions and management schools to promote research and development.

  • To publish or assist in the publication of books, periodicals and journals etc, in the area of management case research.

  • To accept subscriptions and donations (Whether of real or personal estate and with or without conditions) and devises and request for all or any of the purposes aforesaid, and to sell and dispose of, or (so far as permitted by law) to lease and accept surrenders of leases of land and manage all real estate (including leaseholds) so received and not required to be capable of being occupied for the purposes of the institution, and generally to manage, invest and expand all moneys and property belonging to Society.

  • To raise money for any of the above purposes by mortgaging or changing all or any such property as may legally be mortgaged or charged; and

  • To do all such other lawful things as are incidental, ancillary or conducing to the attainment of any of the above objects.

  • The benefits of objects would be available to the general public irrespective of caste, creed, religion or sex.
